What this does not do
estimates, explicitly — square footage and construction type are a starting point for a human to correct, never a finding. Never presented as a surveyed drawing. No AI-vendor names in customer copy.
Open the Building tab in the left icon sidebar. This is where the app turns labeled photos into a starting estimate of the structure — square footage, construction type, hazards — and, from the Floor Plan tab, a first-pass layout per storey.
Label photos by side first
Label first. The AI floor plan runs only on labeled photos, and the building analysis sends whatever labels a photo carries along as annotations. Open the Photos tab and tag each photo A, B, C, D, or AV for an aerial or overhead view — A is the front, then clockwise B, C, D. See Photos and map snapshots for the full labeling workflow.
The labels are what let the app cross-reference views of the same building. A window on Side A and a window on Side C aren't compared unless each photo says which wall it's looking at — and without an aerial photo, there's nothing to check the footprint shape against.
Run the building analysis
Back in the Building tab, scroll to the AI Analysis section. It shows how many photos are attached; click the button below it to send the first four of them for analysis. It returns:
Estimated square footage and story count
Construction type and roof type/material
Occupancy and a brief layout description
Hazards, access points, exposures, and tactical notes
Fields that match — square footage, stories, construction type, roof type — populate the form above automatically. The full result, including everything that doesn't have a form field of its own, is written into the building notes so nothing is lost.
Generate a first-draft floor plan
In the Floor Plan tab, an AI Floor Plan button sits below the floor controls; it enables once you have labeled photos and the incident has coordinates, and names the missing one until then. It uses the same side-labeled photos to lay out a per-storey plan — rooms, doors, windows, and fixtures — anchored to the building's real-world location. Switch floors after it runs to review each one, then correct it by hand in the floor plan editor: move walls, resize rooms, and add whatever the photos didn't show.
Who can run it
Both the building analysis and the AI floor plan need the User role or above. Below that, the building-analysis button is disabled with the reason beneath it, and the AI floor plan is replaced by the same sentence — never a silent failure.
What's marked, what's metered
Every result carries an AI-draft marker so it's never mistaken for something a person entered. Each analysis also counts toward your department's monthly AI allowance, the same allowance every AI feature in the app draws from.
