What this does not do
annotations are authored by a person, not generated. Nothing in the app judges a crew's performance.
replay reconstructs what was **logged**, not a simulation — nothing is interpolated or inferred except vehicle motion between two recorded points. Personnel positions are hard cuts by design; the app will not invent a path a firefighter did not take.
Click Replay in the header, or flip the Edit | Replay toggle in the timeline bar, to leave edit mode. The clock rewinds to zero and the map goes blank — every unit, line, and condition reappears at the exact moment its event was logged. If you just finished a recording, a green Replay Now button sits in the timeline bar for a few seconds so you can skip the toggle.
The radio audio drives the clock when the incident has a recording. A training drill run off the drill stopwatch instead replays the same way, at the same pace, with no audio required.
What the controls do
The playback overlay on the map and the transport controls in the timeline bar give you:
Play / pause — the icon button in the overlay.
Scrub — drag anywhere on the timeline track to jump to a time.
Speed — click the speed button to cycle 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, and 4x.
Rewind — jumps back to 0:00.
Event markers — every logged event gets a tick on the timeline bar; hover one for its time and label.
Radio transcript — when a transmission has been transcribed, its text runs as a subtitle line under the map while it plays.
Switching back to Edit jumps you to the end of the recording, not back to where you started editing.
Drop a timed teaching point
In edit mode, click Teaching point in the toolbar, then click the map where you want the marker. Write the text, pick a style — Highlight (blue), Error (red), or Note (gray) — and set a start and end time on the sliders. The marker only shows on the map while the replay clock is inside that window, so "this is where the second line should have gone" appears exactly when it happened instead of being narrated over the top afterward.
Fix a timestamp after the fact
If a logged event landed a few seconds early or late, open the Event Log panel and click its [mm:ss] timestamp. Type the corrected time and the event re-sorts into the timeline immediately, so the next replay plays it back in the right order.
Theater mode for the training room
The expand icon in the playback overlay switches to theater mode: the header and both side panels disappear, leaving the map, the subtitle line, and the transport controls — built for a TV at the front of the room. Press Escape, or click the icon again, to leave it. Your panels come back the way you left them once you step out of replay.
Sharing a replay
You do not need to be in the room to run one back. See the Sharing and mutual aid section for how to generate a public replay link.
