Start a training drill from the Dashboard, run the stopwatch instead of audio, and tap milestones the moment your crew hits them.

What this does not do
drill timings are deliberately excluded from your department's default trend numbers so training does not skew real-incident analytics. This is a stopwatch and a log, not an evaluation instrument.
A drill needs a stopwatch and a place to put the times, not a radio recording. Coffee Table Tactics runs training the same way it runs a real call — place apparatus, draw lines, press Record — but swaps the audio clock for one you start yourself, and adds one-tap buttons for the milestones a training officer actually times.
Start the drill
On the Dashboard, switch the Training filter, then click Start a timed drill. The form that opens asks for a name only — no address, because instructors run sandbox drills with no real address to give it. If you have an incident open already, a confirm dialog warns you that starting the drill closes it first.
The stopwatch replaces the audio clock
A training incident has no recording to sync to, so a stopwatch overlay on the map takes the audio clock's place: Start drill timer, Pause drill timer, Reset drill timer to zero. Every vehicle, line, and condition you place is timestamped against it exactly the way it would be against radio audio on a real call — press Record, run the stopwatch, and the drill replays back later.
Log milestones with one tap
The timeline bar carries a Log button. Tap it and a panel opens with one-tap buttons for the fireground milestones a drill is usually timed against: On scene, Water on fire, Supply established, Line pulled, 360 complete, Primary all clear, Vent complete, and Fire out. On scene is the zero point — every other milestone is measured from it, so tap that one first. Each tap drops a flag on the timeline at the drill clock's current time, no typing required.
Tapped a milestone a few seconds early or late? Open the Event Log panel and click the milestone's [mm:ss] timestamp to correct it. The flag moves to match.
Replay a drill
A drill replays exactly like a real incident — same transport controls, same scrub bar, same event markers, just driven by the drill clock instead of a recording. See Replay callouts and theater mode for the full playback controls, teaching points, and theater mode for the training room.
A TRAINING banner stays on screen through editing, replay, and theater mode, so a drill is never mistaken for a real call. The AAR panel shows a full-width TRAINING DEBRIEF strip in its place too.
Want the fire in a drill to grow and knock down on its own timeline instead of sitting static? See Fire growth and knockdown.
